Additional Fees Not Included: Estimated price-$125.00 1. Pre-anesthetic blood work-A quick assessment of your animal's organ function prior to anesthesia.Required if over 2 years of age.
2. At home Antibiotics-To prevent infection of the surgical site.
3. Pain Management-At home pain medication given in oral form to keep your pet comfortable for a few days after the surgery.Medication is usually given for 5-7 days.
4. Elizabeth Collar-A safety cone that goes around your pets neck to prevent him/her from licking and/or irritating the surgical site.It should stay on until the suture removal appointment.Suture removal is done 10-14 days after the surgery.
An Estimate will be given to you the morning of your pets surgery.The Dr. or Technician will go over the estimate with you and your signature is required. Before leaving the office you will be responsible to leave a 50% deposit on your total estimate,or you can pay the entire estimated fee in full. We accept Cash or Credit only.
There are additional fees if your pet is over 50lbs. Female Dog-$85.00 Male Dog-$50.00
In Heat or Pregnant If your Cat/Dog is in heat it will be $55.00 extra If your Cat is pregnant it will be $65.00 extra If your Dog is pregnant it will be $90.00 extra
Please be advised: Before making your appointment with us,you must order your F.O.A Certificate on line @ http://www.friendsofanimals.org/programs/spay-neuter/ Your certificate should arrive within 7-10 business days.Once you receive your certificate we will be happy to schedule your pets appointment for surgery. Appointments are Monday-Friday,drop off is between 8-9 am. A full exam with you present, will be given by our Veterinarian. Your pet must be up to date on Rabies and Distemper in order to have the surgery done. If your pet is not up to date on Vaccines, we can vaccinate them the same day. Please bring any medical records and the F.O.A. certificate with you. Your pet will be ready to go home the same day between 4-6 pm.
