Hello, my name is Dr. Deborah Murtha. I would like to introduce myself to you.
My undergraduate studies in biology and chemistry were completed at Seton Hall University. I received my veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1999. Prior to this location, I spent five years as an associate veterinarian at Hoboken Animal Hospital. I thoroughly enjoy my chosen profession, and feel very fortunate that I am able to help owners keep their pets happy and healthy. My areas of interest include internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. In addition to dogs and cats, I also treat small mammals (including ferrets, rabbits, hamsters and guinea pigs) and birds.
I currently live in Bound Brook with my husband Eric, our beautiful son Eric Jonathan and our two furry children (dogs) Kasey and Sydney. In my free time (there is not much left after chasing my son around) I enjoy travel, miniature golf, mystery novels and watercolor painting.

Cynthia Thornton, DVM
Part-Time Veterinarian

Dr. Cynthia Thornton was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Her love of animals led to her choice to follow her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She received a BS in Small Animal Science from Delaware Valley College in PA in 1995 and graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, May 2000. She has a strong interest in Behavioral Medicine and has set up the basic dog obedience classes at our vet clinic; she also likes to help clients with behavioral consultations. She also has experience in Shelter Medicine and frequently works with area shelters and rescue groups, also assisting in dog rescue from time to time. Currently her animal family includes her two cats, Zelda and Magic, and her dogs, 3 Akitas (Jack, Willow, Akero), a Chihuahua x (Frodo) and a Papillon (Arwyn). She is a strong supporter of the human-animal bond. Her other interests include computers, fitness, nature and the outdoors, travel, and enjoying the company of those close to her.

Angela
Part-time Veterinary Technician

Angela has been with us for 2 years as a Veterianry Technician. Before that she was veterinary assistant at Woodbridge Animal Hospital in Avenel, NJ until she left to become a stay at home mom for her children Sean & Shannon for the next 25 years. She is a Reiki Master/Practitioner, a hospice volunteer and she is certified in hypnotherapy & acupressure. She also has a masters degree in Metaphysics from the American Institute of Theology.
Eventually her goal is to, in addition to people, do energy work on animals. She has seven cats & is always open to adopting more. Her cats name's are; Kali, Maia, Duff Danger, Poo-Ling, Vincent, Emily, and Lilah-Bean.
